Bikes and Bakes with Sophie Faldo

On Saturday 9 June Great British Bake Off winner, Sophie Faldo, will host a morning of Bikes and Bakes at Lee Valley VeloPark to coincide with Bike Week (9 – 17 June).

The event, which aims to encourage groups of friends to cycle for fun and fitness, will feature road cycling, studio cycling sessions, guest speakers and of course lots of cake!

During the morning, riders will join Sophie at the London 2012 Legacy venue where they will try their hand at cycling on the one mile outdoor road circuit and participate in a host of fitness sessions before refuelling with a variety of classic bakes.

Throughout the day riders will also hear from guest speakers including Sophie herself and representatives from the HSBC UK Breeze programme - an initiative set up to get more women riding bikes for fun - on why cycling is a great way to stay fit and healthy and make new friends.
