Founded by guitarist Simon Harris, Trio Manouche is a world-class gypsy jazz ensemble that perform a mixture of traditional classic “swing” tunes and upbeat “quirky” originals. Simon’s CV includes performances with legends of the gypsy jazz style such as Tchavolo Schmitt as well as work with contemporary artists such as MOBO Award-winner Soweto Kinch. Just to prove his versatility he was also featured on a Yusuf Islam (Cat Stevens) video. And if you get lucky Simon may even sing and play trumpet (not at the same time, of course…)! The rest of the trio is made up of two of the finest exponents of Gypsy swing jazz in the UK, Ducato Pietrowski on acoustic guitar and Nick Pini on double bass. And look out for their Special Guest, the beautifully melodic and highly regarded trumpeter Quentin Collins (Kyle Eastwood). A really fun way to start the week!
