The Deli Comedy Festival is a month-long season of previews of some of the best comedy that will be appearing at this year’s Edinburgh Festival and beyond. Whether it is the latest material from those names we know and love, or discovering the new generation of comics breaking through, this exciting new festival will bring an explosive burst of cutting edge comedy to audiences across London.

Tonight, the Deli Comedy Festival presents:

Ahir Shah: Duffer (Work in Progress)
Ahir Shah returns to Edinburgh with a new hour of stand-up about life and what comes after, death and what comes before, and Bohemian Rhapsody. Shah's last show, Control, enjoyed a critically acclaimed Fringe run, culminating in a nomination for Best Show at the 2017 Edinburgh Comedy Awards. This was followed by a UK tour, including three weeks at London's Soho Theatre.

'One of his generation’s most eloquent comic voices' (Telegraph).

'A scope and wit about him that is exciting to behold' (Times).

'Ratchets up the dismay to thermonuclear levels' (Guardian).

(Sunday Times).

Matt Forde: Brexit Through the Gift Shop (Work in Progress)
The whole thing's a mess and only one person can sort it out. Sadly, we have no idea who. Join Britain’s leading political comedian, Matt Forde, for his last show as an EU citizen.

“a hugely impressive hour of political comedy…it keeps hitting the spot”. Chortle

“Possibly the best political comedy show on the Fringe”. The Telegraph

“Singlehandedly fulfilling comedy’s brief of taking our political masters to task. Combining spot-on impressions with up-to-the-minute observations”. Mail on Sunday
