The Rainbow has an array of colours, similarly this performance will throw light on different colours of Kathak, which is one of the most popular Indian Classical Dance forms. Led by the internationally famed, senior most kathak exponent in the U.K, Padmashri Guru Pratap Pawar and young dancers of Triveni Dance Company. The performance will be accompanied by live music such as, tabla, santoor, vocal and harmonium.

Padmashri Pratap Pawar, has a personal style that is unique, serene and characterized by an impeccable technique that blends precision in footwork with aesthetics and imagery (bhav).

Padmashri Guru Pratap Pawar, popularly known as 'India's Divine Dancer', is an outstanding exponent and teacher of the North Indian dance form, Kathak. Performing Kathak internationally for many decades, he had the honour of being the first disciple of Pandit Birju Maharaj, from who he received authentic traditional instruction. Guru Pratap Pawar has produced many professional dancers in the U.K. such as Akram Khan, Balbir Singh and few others. He is committed to the art form and has been teaching in the U.K for almost 40 years.
