The Forgiveness Project is delighted to welcome American author, political commentator and community organiser Sally Kohn to London on 13th September to deliver their eighth Annual Lecture: The Burden of Hate: bridging the divide in unforgiving times.

As one of the leading progressive voices in America, Sally Kohn is currently a commentator on CNN. Previously a Fox News contributor she has made a career out of bridging intractable political differences and learning how to talk respectfully with people whose views she disagrees with passionately.

Taking place at Notting Hill’s historic venue, The Tabernacle, on Thursday, 13th September, Sally Kohn will be exploring the epidemic of hate around us - from internet trolls to school bullies, from racist chants to homophobia - and what we can do to repair our humanity. Sally's recent book, The Opposite of Hate: A Field Guide to Repairing Our Humanity, investigates the evolutionary and cultural roots of hate and how incivility can be a gateway to much worse.

Rachel Bird, Director of The Forgiveness Project says, ‘We are so excited to have Sally Kohn deliver our eighth Annual Lecture. Politics feels so polarised at the moment and the divide seems to be ever deepening. Exploring how we engage with those we profoundly disagree with, while holding true to our values, is essential if we are to build a better future’.
