On Saturday 1st September 2018, Greenwich Peninsula, London’s newest creative neighbourhood, presents the return of SAMPLE in partnership with Hemingway Design – a unique pop-up urban market that aims to nurture and promote the very best of London’s talent.

As part of Greenwich Peninsula’s ongoing commitment to keep London creative, SAMPLE: Autumn aims to showcase a wide-ranging, carefully curated mix of interesting brands, independent producers and artists, offering designers and makers alike a chance to show their wares at a really accessible price point and setting the scene for the season ahead. This is a platform unlike any other in London, providing a voice for the creative community, and embodying the essence of Greenwich Peninsula.

Hosting both emerging and established creatives from the worlds of fashion, design and food & drink, SAMPLE allows makers to showcase their latest produce at one of a kind prices. In addition to this platform, SAMPLE Autumn will welcome the addition of BBC Radio Presenter Robert Elms hosting an ‘In Conversation’ with industry leaders at NOW Gallery, next to the market square. Discussing tips and tricks on how to launch a business and succeed in the creative industries within the Capital, guests will have the opportunity to learn from experienced business leaders and interact and network with one another, fostering the community spirit of collaboration and innovation that Greenwich Peninsula harnesses. Details on the line-up will be released closer to the time.

Each product category will occupy a designated space, to ensure that SAMPLE is easy-to-navigate for visitors. Ranging from emerging fashion brands Cecilia Hammarborg, Kimba, LDC, AAE, Fronté footwear by Tracey Neuls, Rener, print art by East End Prints, jewellery designer Laura Nelson Design, beauty products by Liha Beauty¸ homeware by Pelican Story, The Atlas Works and Conpot, and gardening and floristry by Potted and Blend & Bloom

Alongside street food vendors Mama G’s Vegan and Mother Clucker, fresh produce from Crown & Queue Meats, Elvovia Manilife and Cakhole and drink by M-Wines.

SAMPLE gives an advance flavor of what we can expect from the Design District, London’s first dedicated district for creatives with affordable studio and workspace (opening on the Peninsula in 2020). Like the District, SAMPLE is designed to help cultivate the next generation of creative talent and create an open platform for them to show, and the public to explore, the fruits of their creativity.
