St Katharine Docks’ annual celebration of historic and traditional boats is back for its annual Classic Boats Festival.

This September marks the 10th anniversary of St Katharine Docks Classic Boats Festival. This year, St. Katharine Docks will welcome 40 colourful boats from around the world to celebrate this milestone. Between the 7th-9th September 2018, 11am-6pm, Central London’s only marina will host several exciting events.

Highlights include:

• Classic Boats: Climb on-board and explore around 40 vintage work boats and sailing and motor yachts including Little Dunkirk Ships and many others. 11am – 6pm daily 7th-9th September in the Central Basin

• Lady Daphne Tours on the Thames: a tour of the Thames unlike any other, going under Tower Bridge. Three times a day 7th-9th September, book here

• Marble Quay: featuring local and other organisations across London for family activities, a food market and live entertainment. 11am – 6pm daily 7th-9th September

• MYO (Make Your Own): Hosting free workshops including coaster weaving, lino cutting and printing on tea towels. Two sessions a day, 8th and 9th September.

• Moo Canoes: Taster kayak sessions within the safety of the marina. 11am – 6pm daily, 7th-9th September.

• SKD Talks Programme: plenty of talks to give insight into the history of the marina and the boats. Twice daily, 8th and 9th September.

• Sharky & George Pirate Kids Club: an interactive 190 Treasure Hunt celebrating the history of the Docks and story-time for the kids. 11am – 6pm daily, 8th and 9th September.

There is an activity for everyone, from free adult craft sessions to story time and a historic treasure hunt, hosted by Sharky and George, for the children. Throughout the entire weekend, you can also enjoy live music from the national youth Jazz orchestra and the Sea Shanty Singers choir, bringing the melodies of the sea to the marina
