Bloomsbury Publishing are proud to present an exclusive UK appearance of Khaled Hosseini in conversation about his illustrated short work of fiction, Sea Prayer, at the Southbank Centre.

International bestselling author of The Kite Runner, A Thousand Splendid Suns and And the Mountains Echoed, Khaled Hosseini will be in conversation with journalist Razia Iqbal, reflecting on what drew him to capture the experience of a family fleeing civil war in Syria and what fiction can do in dark times on Tuesday, September 4th. Hurry - tickets won't last!

Written as a letter from a father as he watches over his sleeping son, Sea Prayer charts the dangerous voyage away from their war-torn homeland across the sea in search of a new home and is published by Bloomsbury on 30th August 2018.

A portion of the proceeds from this event will go to UNHCR, the UN Refugee Agency and every ticket includes a beautiful hardback copy of Sea Prayer to collect on the night.
