A lecture exploring Verdi’s lavish romantic operas – Becca Marriott

Focussing largely on La Traviata, which Becca recently adapted for the King’s Head Theatre (nominated for an Olivier Award for their 2017 production of La Boheme, also adapted by Becca), this morning’s lecture recital will discuss the ways in which the beauty and romanticism of Verdi’s music evokes a passionate and emotional response.

Opera Prelude is a small charity about supporting young professional opera singers who give lecture recitals in London. These friendly and inclusive events will introduce you to the international opera singers of tomorrow by way of recitals, concerts and masterclasses.
