A Day for Amy

Part of Camden Is Music, an on-going month of music at the Market, “A Day For Amy” will be a commemorative, community-based celebration of Amy's life and legacy on the Saturday closest to the late singer’s birthday and anniversary of the Foundation’s founding. The afternoon will feature live performances from Amy’s Yard (the Amy Winehouse Foundation’s Artist Development Programme), as well as Strummerville, the Institute of Contemporary Music, Busk in London and Generation Uncovered – that will take place in the Market’s amphitheatre, overlooked by the iconic statue of the music legend.

The day will also include community-based talks led by community projects and charities, including representatives from the Foundation’s Resilience Programme, covering topics including Mental Health Awareness and ways to build resilience to help prevent drug and alcohol misuse, hosted in LABS Atrium whilst image projections of the artist will be showcased across the building. Fans of the music legend will be able to enjoy free Amy Winehouse inspired hair and make-up, with donations for the makeovers going to the Foundation to further support their work.
