Huge ball pool makes a splash on the thames

Londoners will be in for a treat this September as Virgin Holidays launches the first ever Thameside ball filled lido – the perfect chance to round off the summer with one last colourful dip. Open on September 13th and 14th the experience encourages people to put on their adventurous pants and see the world as their playground.

The best bit is the tonne of holidays up for grabs for Londoners willing to embrace their playful side. Four golden balls will be hidden amongst the rainbow colours at intermittent periods in the installation – any lucky punters who discover one during their dip will be jetting off on a fun-filled holiday for two*:

Located at Observation Point on the Southbank, the super Instagrammable spot is the biggest outdoor ball pool in the UK and is filled with over 140,000 re-usable balls.

Large enough for big kids and little ones alike, the pool offers iconic ‘beachside’ views over London’s cityscape (without having to squeeze into a swim suit!) and adds a welcome splash of colour to the banks of the Thames.

Londoners are invited to break up the day and have a play, free of charge. The Say Balls to Boring ball pool is located at Observation Point, Southbank, SE1 9LT from 11am to 7pm on Thursday 13 September and 9am to 6pm on Friday 14 September.

The experience comes ahead of Virgin Holidays’ new brand campaign, which will air for the first time on ITV during The X Factor on Saturday 15 September.
