This exhibition explores the history and current use of The Camberwell ILEA Collection. The display considers the original function of the collection - the Experiment in Design Appreciation - through rarely seen archive material. The exhibition will highlight the progress of recent cataloguing and digitisation projects, and share untold stories of special objects. The exhibition will demonstrate how the collection remains relevant today, by presenting new work by Camberwell students from BA Photography and MA Designer Maker, with a brief to boldly reimagine the objects both physically and digitally.

Visitors to the exhibition are invited to participate in a cataloguing activity in the gallery space. By selecting their favourite object, from a pool that will change throughout the display, visitors will be asked to think like collection curators and record important information. Visitors will also be encouraged to handle objects in a series of drop in ‘Meet the Collection’ events. This exhibition is curated by Jacqueline Winston-Silk.
