This year saw the first London Windrush Festival to celebrate 70 years of mass Caribbean migration to the UK. Now Wanda Nation brings a brand new Black History Month festival to celebrate the heritage & community of Caribbean, African and Creole speaking families in the UK.
On Sunday 4 November 2018, from 11am – 11pm this one day festival is being held at a brand new cultural hub & afro-perspective arts space called ‘Lewisham Village’. It will be a day of colour, culture, expression & vibrancy exploring topical issues & sharing thoughts in our day conference, sharing alternative versions of black history, talking ideas for progress, browsing the crafts market, eating good food & networking around the rum lounge with new friends. When the lights go down we will be getting down to party shaking ‘2 foot with half a hip’ & holding a whine with nice vibes in our evening Festival Party.
All the family are welcome from young to old, there will also be disabled access.
