Borough Market Hosts 7th Primary School Harvest Sale

Borough Market will be holding its 7th annual primary school Harvest Sale on Thursday 4th October in partnership with campaigning charity School Food Matters.

Children from the local community will be selling their school-grown fruit and vegetables at the market and all the proceeds will be donated to FareShare, an award-winning charity which seeks to relieve food poverty by rescuing good food that would otherwise go to waste.

To date, over 600 school children from 84 schools have grown and sold more than 45 varieties of fruit and vegetables at London’s 1,000 year old market, helping FareShare to provide over 17,000 meals for vulnerable families.
