RG Connect18, the fifth annual Reload Greece conference, will bring together a community of entrepreneurs, investors and policy makers to share inspirational ideas and help shape the future of entrepreneurship. With 40 international speakers across three content streams ‘Connect, Learn and Inspire’, RG Connect features inspiring keynotes, practical workshops, thought provoking panel discussions and valuable opportunities to network.

The one-day conference will explore what practical steps can be taken to harness the energy that has been injected into the Greek economy with the advent of the EquiFund, one of the European Investment Fund’s largest investments in Europe. Four of the funds appointed to deploy 400€ million into early stage start-ups with a connection to Greece, will be speaking and exhibiting at RG Connect18. George Chouliarakis, current Alternate Minister of Finance in Greece and Venture Capitalists from the UK, US and Greece will be speaking at the event.

Using Greece as a case study but approaching every challenge with an international perspective, RG Connect18 will explore what solutions can be applied to some of the most tough business challenges across key sectors. Leading experts from the Blockchain & Fintech, Tourism, Agriculture, Shipping & Energy sectors will share their learnings and an interactive mentoring session will discuss the benefits of mentoring before matching RG Mentors with potential mentees. Ten Reload Greece alumni start-ups based in the UK will be exhibiting and presenting their businesses and a ‘Cultural Hacks’ space will showcase how young innovators in Arts, Fashion and Design are conveying their ideas for solving the practical, theoretical and cultural challenges being faced by their industries, audiences and countries. To showcase how young filmmakers are challenging perceptions and making their voices heard, the Thessaloniki International Short Film Festival will present a co-curated programme of short films from their 2018 lineup, which center on the themes of RG Connect18. Join RG Connect18 to ‘Learn, Inspire, Connect’.
