Independent Opera Scholars' Recital

Independent Opera proudly presents its 2017-18 artists Claire Lees, Michael Mofidian, Ida Ranzlov and Svetlina Stoyanova. These exceptional young singers showcase their musical passions in an intimate evening of song, with award-winning pianist Nino Chokhonelidze.

The evening will explore the tradition of German Lied and Italian song with songs from Schubert, Clara and Robert Schumann, Mendelssohn and Rossini, before journeying north to Sweden, Russia and Latvia with songs by Nystroem, Rangstrom, Arensky, Tchaikovsky, and a world premiere from Latvian composer Eriks Esenvalds.
