This tells the tale of retired government officer Mr Chowdhury and what happens as age and the normative practices of contemporary life in Britain impact on a man, despite the status and respect he garnered previously. Is anyone really taking care of him when he is abandoned to a care home? Although this has a British Bengali context, it tells a universal tale of 21st century malaise with lives and dreams ebbing away while the younger generation are increasingly self-centred. The human conditions of sorrow as well as contentment prevail.

Message Cultural started in late 1999 and has grown ever since with talented members who are keen to spread its messages throughout the community using the medium of culture. They are based in Tower Hamlets and uphold British-Bengali values, in order to raise awareness of a variety of issues.
