Macmillan Cancer Support’s spectacular Macmillan Ball will be held on November 28th and is set to raise thousands through an unmissable evening of festivities.

Guests and celebrities will gather at stunning venue, The Dorchester, for the event which will be hosted by Sky News presenter, Dermot Murnaghan.

An annual highlight of the London society calendar, money raised through the Macmillan Ball will fund services including Macmillan nurses, who provide essential support for people living with cancer. Last year, the event raised an incredible £340,000 - enough to pay for six Macmillan nurses for a year.

Attendees of the Macmillan Ball will enjoy a champagne reception, followed by a glittering evening of fine dining and entertainment. A live auction will also offer attendees the chance to bid for a host of incredible prizes – including a holiday to St. Lucia, a private photoshoot with a vogue photographer and tickets to the rugby Six Nations.

Money raised through this year’s ball will also go towards Macmillan’s Support Line Service which exists to provide expert advice for people living with cancer throughout the UK.

Host, Dermot Murnaghan said: “I’m incredibly proud to be hosting this year’s Macmillan Ball and can’t wait to see how much money we raise for this absolutely essential charity. Every ticket sold and bid made at auction will help Macmillan to fund more nurses and services for people living with cancer throughout the UK.”

Ian Crowther, events manager at Macmillan Cancer Support, added: “The Macmillan Ball isn’t just an incredible opportunity to gather and experience a fabulous evening – it’s a chance to raise vital funds to help millions of people with cancer to live life as fully as they can.

“Macmillan Cancer Support nurses do so much to improve the lives of people living with cancer, from providing information about treatment to offering emotional and practical support at home and in hospital. Donations made at the Macmillan Ball will make such a huge difference and we can’t wait to see how much this brilliant evening will raise.”
