Echo Chamber

Echo Chamber is Miss Bugs' new exhibition opening 9 November at the gallery at 10 Hanover Street in Mayfair.

The exhibition runs until 14 November and will include 15 new large scale mixed media portraits and figurative works. Echo Chamber explores the reinforcement of people's beliefs and opinions through social media networks and social groups in the internet age and the show will feature abstracted portraits of iconic faces from pop culture including Basquiat, J F. Kennedy and Lady Gaga.

Miss Bugs is a collaboration between two artists whose work takes iconic imagery from pop culture and art history and reforms it using collage and other mixed media methods. Often their work sees the appropriation of modern and contemporary artists such as Mondrian, Hirst and Koons, along with referencing many other contemporary artists and outsider art, which are recomposed in their collages and silk screens to make new reconstructed pieces.
