Part of Accumulation: Legacy and Memory, Bahrain Art Week in London 2018

In the final week of the Jameel Prize 5 exhibition, which runs until 25th November at the Victoria and Albert Museum, Salma Tuqan curator of the exhibition and for Contemporary Middle East at the Victoria & Albert Museum, will be in conversation with Bahraini artist Hala Kaiksow who was shortlisted for the prize. Hala Kaiksow’s practice incorporates traditional Bahraini craftsmanship and hand weaving into her contemporary garments with her work seamlessly moving between the worlds of art, fashion and craft. This rare conversation will be an opportunity to delve deeper into the unique practice of a rising star of the Bahraini art scene.
