African Promise's Christmas Carol Service

Stars of stage and screen will be joining African Promise as it hosts an evening of festive carols to get you in the Christmas mood and raise funds for schools in Kenya.

There will be heart-warming readings from renowned actress Sheila Hancock, Silent Witness star, David Caves and model, photographer and TV personality, Penny Lancaster, and magical musical performances from the London International Gospel Choir and baritone singer Felix Kemp as well as lots of opportunities for guests to join in with traditional carols. The service will conclude with a drink’s reception and mince pies.

Every penny raised from the evening will go towards African Promise’s work with primary schools in rural Kenya. The charity currently supports seven schools, serving more than 2,500 disadvantaged children, by upgrading infrastructure, funding the salaries of extra teachers, and providing a daily lunchtime meal to every pupil. The charity is celebrating its 10th anniversary in 2018 and is raising funds for the reconstruction of an eighth school.
