MoreYoga & Yoga Evolved presents Gin Yin

Gin Yin combines two of the great ways to relax, Yin Yoga and high quality gin! Yin Yoga offers deeper access to the body targeting connective tissue, fascia and ligaments with the aim of lubricating and protecting the joints. In order to target these Yin tissues we must first learn to relax the surrounding muscles. A small amount of alcohol can help achieve the desired physiological state to facilitate this action.

Many of us lead fast-pacing, demanding and intensely stressful life-styles. Yin Yoga gives us the opportunity to slow things down, relax and unwind. In this workshop, we will look at a number of classic Yin poses designed to help to open up the body and calm the mind, alleviating anxiety and reducing stress. This will also include a short guided meditation and mindful gin tasting!

Gin is an excellent low calorie choice as it is also made from a mix of natural and nutritious herbs providing numerous health benefits when drunk in moderation. In fact, as early as the Middle Ages, gin was used as a form of herbal medicine. You will leave this workshop feeling grounded and revitalised and maybe with a new appreciation for gin!

We will continue the gin experience at local micro-gin distillery Half Hitch, where you’ll learn about gin making techniques and a bit of history about Camden’s centuries long love affair with gin. We’ll then kick back, relax and enjoy a well-earned gin and tonic – a chance to connect with fellow MoreYogis and make new friends!
