Edible Cinema is a creative initiative organised by renowned unsual event specialist, Polly Betton, in partnership with experimental chefs Blanch & Shock, and mixologists from Conker Spirit and Fentimans for this very special screening. Turning a night at the cinema into a
memorable event, Edible Cinema has been described by Vogue as ‘gastronomic theatre’ and ‘the ultimate marriage of film and food’ by Time Out.

The experience promises to harness the power of taste, smell and texture to enhance the cinematic experience. Each guest is supplied with a tray of numbered ‘mystery boxes’ , containing a bite-sized tasting menu corresponding to scenes in the film, and a carefully matched welcome drink. A signal indicates what should be opened and enjoyed, when.

Expect ‘a gastronomic whirlwind, from the taste of that first breath of fresh sea air on the French Riviera to a mouthful of fluffy, soft Prima Ballerina’s tutu and the rich, smoky bitterness of a cigar stubbed out in fury’. Edible Cinema menus focus less on literal interpretations of food shown on screen, and more on environment, dialogue and the overall feeling.
