In the 1790s Joseph Haydn travelled from Austria to spend time in England and was inspired by the large-scale oratorio works of the venerable composer Handel. The Creation, considered Haydn’s masterpiece, is based on the Book of Genesis and Milton’s Paradise Lost. The Whitehall Choir, one of London’s finest amateur choirs, is joined by the London Baroque Sinfonia, whose members are some of the best players of period instruments in the UK. The combination of orchestra, choir and superb soloists will make for a wonderful evening of thrilling choruses and beautiful solo arias. Not to mention the tiger, horse, sheep and worm...
