In our Spring mini-series, Watch, Talk, Think, we present three films on the theme of childhood survival in difficult homes. Each film screening is followed by a panel discussion on the themes and broader issues raised, led by Dr Robin Basu Roy, Clinical Lecturer in Paediatrics at the University of Oxford.
In this first screening, see Andrea Arnold’s hard-hitting drama Fish Tank (2009) which follows the story of teenager Mia at her home on a housing estate in Essex – her love of dance, her difficult family and her hopes for the future.
Rating 15, running time 124 minutes.
