Screenings of work by amateur women filmmakers from the archives of the Institute of Amateur Cinematographers from the 1930s–1980s, plus additional work by non-commercial filmmakers.
This will be followed by a panel discussion to explore, highlight and celebrate filmmaking practice and opportunities outside the mainstream. Fromamateur women filmmakers of the past, to guerilla and citizen activists workingoutside the established film and screen industries, the panel will interrogate the past, present and future of this rapidly-evolving area of DIY filmmaking.
