In celebration of Women’s History Month, the National Army Museum is hosting a day of performances, music and talks, exploring how women have helped shape the British Army.
Talks
Hear first-hand accounts from current and former female soldiers as they share their personal experiences of the British Army.
Music
Listen to performances by the Military Wives Choirs, made up of women in the military community who join together to sing, share and support one another.
Step back in time
Hear the story of Mother Ross, who disguised herself as a man to enlist in the Army in the 17th century. Join her on an adventure to find her husband in this family-friendly performance. Then, learn what life was like for women in the Army during the Second World War by putting your questions to a soldier of the Auxiliary Territorial Service.
