Travellers flying from London Stansted Airport will be treated to a music spectacular this spring, as the airport hosts a live music showcase with some of the UK’s hottest artists.

On Saturday 2nd March, London Stansted will launch the UK’s first music festival to take place in the departures lounge of an airport. Celebrating local musical talent, Departures Live Lounge will offer flyers a sneak preview of some of the talented artists lined up to perform at the biggest European music festivals throughout 2019.

Taking place from 2pm until 6pm, talented Afrobeat duo Lotto Boyzz will open up the festival, performing some of their latest hits including platinum hit ‘BAD VIBE’ ahead of the start of their headline tour in April, followed by leading London grime MC and Boy Better Know member Jammer who will deliver a live set for lucky holidaymakers travelling through the airport.

Putting the magic into their namesake, the artists will also be joined on the day by The Magic Gang to perform a selection of breezy guitar-pop hits, designed to get London Stansted travellers in the festival sing-along spirit. Eliza and The Bear, one of the UK’s most promising young bands will complete the unmissable festival line up at Departures Live Lounge. With guitar-driven indie-folk hooks, beautifully orchestrated horns and the emphatic vocals of lead singer James Kellegher, the London-based four-piece and guitar-led four piece will bring the curtain down to share a snapshot of what travellers can expect during the 2019 European festival season.
