Enjoy insights from Antonia Timpany on clothing and accessories that hold their value, Amanda Powell on sustainability in the cosmetics industry, Rachel Winter on companies fighting for sustainable fashion and style guidance from Louise Finch.

Food and drinks will be served from 11am. One hour of talks will begin at 11.30am, followed by the opportunity to speak to our personal stylist and purchase pre-loved luxury designer clothing and accessories from Timpanys.
Ticket sales will be donated to Traid, a charity which turns clothes waste into funds and resources to reduce the environmental and social impacts of our clothes.

23% of Londoners’ clothes have never been worn. Global clothing production has more than doubled since the year 2000 but more than half of this clothing is disposed of within less than a year of purchase. Most of this ends up in landfill, where synthetic fibres such as polyester can take up to 200 years to biodegrade. Fast fashion is not sustainable.

What can be done? Perhaps it’s time to go back to the old ‘less is more’ philosophy. Declutter your closet and focus on a capsule wardrobe of high-quality items that will stand the test of time.
