Calling all future nurses and doctors, this May half term we will be opening our first teddy bear hospital at the Florence Nightingale Museum on Tuesday 28 May and Thursday 30 May. Plus come and meet Florence Nightingale on Saturday 25 May and Mary Seacole on Saturday 1 June.

Meet Miss Nightingale
Saturday 25 May
Performances start at 11.30am, 1.30pm and 3pm
Come and meet Miss Nightingale and hear all about how she became known as the “Lady with the Lamp”. Find out how she became a nurse, why she went to the Crimean War and how she improved the conditions for the soldiers and nurses.

Join us this May Half term for our first Teddy Bear Hospital. Bring along your teddy or other toy, and become your teddy’s doctor or nurse to work out what is wrong with them and how to make them better.
Suitable for all ages. Drop-in sessions.

Meet our Collections Officer for a special object handling session this May half term. An exciting opportunity to see some objects from our collection. Find out about the objects and their connection to Florence Nightingale.

Meet Mary Seacole
Saturday 1 June
11.30am, 1.30pm & 3.30pm
Just like Florence Nightingale, Mary Seacole went out to the Crimean War to help the soldiers. Come along and meet her, find out about her life and why the soldiers called her 'Mother Seacole'.
