The doors are swinging open at the RSA on Thursday 18th July 2019 from 6pm where esteemed author of the debut book, 'THE POLYMATH' Waq?s Ahmed will be speaking alongside a panel of experts at ‘A New Approach to a New World of Work.’

We don't know what the world of work will look like in 2050 but we do know that we will need many brilliant problem-solvers who can tackle complex, important issues in new ways. Is a new approach to the way we learn and collaborate the answer? One that unlocks the power of human versatility, creating powerful connections and breakthrough progress?

Waq?s Ahmed is an exceptionally versatile human who excels in multiple, seemingly unrelated fields his an author, neuroscientist, journalist, actor, artist, as well as a having a previous stint as a personal trainer, and reaching a high level in the military. This fascinating breed called Polymaths, are rejecting ‘specialisation’ and steering towards a more complete way of thinking and being.

Waq?s believes that for today’s society to thrive, people should be encouraged to expand their knowledge, interests, and skills across multiple fields, and not put all their eggs in one basket. He talks about how using our full human potential can help us evolve and adapt to our new surroundings, preventing us from being left behind.

Please join him and a panel of expert speakers including Ella Saltmarshe, Writer & Founder The Comms Lab, The Point People and The Long Time Project, Georgia Gould
Deputy Chair of London Councils, Carl Gombrich the
Academic Lead of LIS, Matthew Taylor, the
Chief Executive of the RSA.
