Hackney WickED

Hackney WickED returns for its 10th Edition running from Friday 26 to Sunday 28 July 2019. The event will see Hackney Wick and Fish Island’s artist studios, galleries and venues open its doors to visitors to explore what is London’s biggest artist-led DIY Open Studios event and celebrate the great diversity of the area’s community.

More than 20 creative spaces and 1000s of creatives will join forces to showcase dance, music, art installations, live art, cafes, markets, photography, alongside a wide programme of evening fringe events. There is an opportunity to purchase artworks from renowned international names to exciting new artists - and everything in between.

The weekend kicks-off on Friday with the opening of the Hackney WickED Group Show, named , curated by Anna Maloney, Creative Director of Hackney WickED Collective. will showcase Hackney Wick’s diverse range of artists and talents and will take place in the pop up exhibition space at The Trampery in Fish Island.

As part of the weekend’s many activities, the programme also offers visitors the rare opportunity to view studios of over 100 of London's leading contemporary artists from a diverse range of studios that make up ‘London's creative square mile’. From individual studios and creative spaces through to local businesses and large artist workspaces, over 30 buildings have joined forces to co-create this year’s programme and invite art lovers to explore the labyrinth of spaces that run across the creative community of Hackney Wick & Fish Island.
