First ever obstacle course event for kids to be held at Twickenham Stadium

Spartan Race, the world’s leading obstacle course race and endurance brand, has announced that they will be holding the first ever obstacle course event for children at Twickenham Stadium on Saturday 23rd November 2019.

The race is perfect for young adventurers and rugby fans and the iconic Twickenham Stadium will be packed full of fun Spartan obstacles for the mini racers to manoeuvre. Kids will have the chance to climb and crawl over different Spartan obstacles, tackle the sandbag carry and they will even be able to throw a spear as they head around the course.

The course is open to children aged 4-14 years old and is the perfect way to inspire young thrill seekers to be more active and get outdoors. All the racers who take part will receive their very own Spartan Race T-shirt and finishers medal.

There is also a 5km obstacle course race for parents who don’t want to miss out on the action. It is the perfect distance for those competing in their first obstacle course race or the experienced racer who is looking to race against the clock.

It’s a fun and exhilarating course which will test racers speed and agility over a short distance. The obstacles include box jumps, stair climbs, low crawls and carries as well as some of the more traditional Spartan obstacles.

The event, which Spartan are expecting to be a sell-out, with over 4,000 people heading to South West London to take part, will be a great day out for all the family. There will be food and drink on offer throughout the day and spectators are also welcome, ensuring friends and family can cheer on their loved ones as they tackle the course. This will help to create a festival atmosphere never seen before at a Spartan race.
