I Ride In Colour And Soft Focus, No Longer Anywhere

Prioritising noise over silence, now over yesterday and pleasure over doing it right.
Jamila (Last Yearz Interesting Negro) makes work with in-between spaces and things that exist within cracks. i ride in colour… is informed by everything and everyone LYIN has ever encountered, seen, heard, felt as they try to identify their own voice.

With electronic music, a beating soundsystem and from a love of dancing on the spot, i ride in colour… questions the responsibilities of blackness and queerness. Questioning the feeling of being possessed by other people’s fantasies, and the fear that your own may just be too rude.
