Summer in the City

Summer in the City, the UK’s largest and longest-running online video festival returns to ExCel London from Friday 9th – Sunday 11th August 2019.

Aimed at young creators, viewers, industry professionals and anyone with an interest in the online community, Summer in the City offers a rare insight into Instagram, Facebook, YouTube and other social media platforms.

This year will see over 210 influencers in attendance – the most ever at a Summer in the City event! YouTube sensations at the show include; Brizzy Voices, JaackMaate, Thomas ’Tomska’ Ridgewell, JaidenAnimations and Ricky Dillon to name a few!

There is a jam-packed schedule of activities and events, including: the huge Main Stage, Gaming Stage,
Fashion & Beauty Stage, Lifestyle Stage, Podcast Theatre, and dedicated Panel Rooms which will feature talks covering a diverse range of topics.

Must see events at the show include Live Gameplay, Fashion & Beauty Discussions, Live Baking and Painting Demonstrations, and dedicated panels on topics such as Women Online, LGBTQ+, Mental Health, Filmmaking and much more - there really is something for everyone! Highlights on the Main Stage will include musical performances from New Hope Club, RoadTrip, Talia Mar, Leadley and a Super-Secret Set on Saturday from a surprise guest.

The Expo Hall will feature a Gaming Stage and Gameplay Area, including live gameplay with top creators tackling a range of gaming titles. The stage will also host talks surrounding fandoms, Pokémon Creators, Women in Gaming and the benefits of Live Streaming.

Also housed within the Expo Hall will be a Creator Village, the Fashion & Beauty Stage and the Lifestyle Stage. Guests can get snap-happy with lots of fun photo opportunities with friends or browse the stalls and grab some creator merch where you can say hi to your favourite creators! Visitors can also browse jewellery, artwork and much more on sale from independent artists at the Craft Fair and feel the adrenaline rush on the rides at the Fun Fair.

Summer in the City will be also adding an Art Area to the Lifestyle Stage for attendees to get
creative. This area will feature a huge 100 SQ m art gallery area by YouTube Artist Jamie Jo, who will also be painting live on the Gaming Stage. There will also be a live performance of Daniel J Layton’s ‘Baking with Layton’ – sure to be a culinary delight!

Meet and Greets will also allow special guests to engage with their viewers and personally thank them for all of their support. Younger attendees can also drop weary parents off at the Adult Crèche!

Summer in the City is the ultimate day out for young people and teenagers looking to break out on social media, get tips on how to create their own videos or just to meet their favourite YouTubers. The event also offers an invaluable insight into the online world to those in the industry.
