The 70th Anniversary of the People's Republic of China is celebrated in an evening of diverse music reflecting the country's rich cultural heritage and evoking its natural beauty.

One of six concerts taking place across the world as part of the anniversary, this evening features works by China’s most famous composers, including Xian Xinghai’s popular Yellow River Concerto, performed by Chinese piano virtuoso Wan Jieni.

The Royal Philharmonic Orchestra will be joined by members of the China Philharmonic Orchestra and conducted by Xu Zhong, General Director of Shanghai Opera.
