The ‘perfect blend’ of the literary and whisky worlds as whisky expert Alwynne Gwilt is joined by award-winning authors.

To celebrate the launch of Pursuit, a collection of short stories published on October 3rd, The Balvenie is hosting an exclusive whisky tasting evening of The Balvenie Stories, at the world-renowned Fortnum & Mason, at their new store at The Royal Exchange.

Alwynne will be joined by Pursuits editor Alex Preston and contributors Daisy Johnson and Sara Collins for an evening featuring author readings, guided whisky tastings and Fortnum & Mason’s famous canapés.

Pursuit: The Balvenie Stories Collection is an anthology of original stories, where determination and tenacity prevail, featuring renowned authors from around the world including Max Porter, Benjamin Markovits, Sarah Churchwell and Kamila Shamsie.

Alex Preston is an award-winning novelist and journalist, he writes regularly for the Observer, the Telegraph and Harper’s Bazaar.

Daisy Johnson was shortlisted for the 2018 Booker Prize, and she is the youngest nominee in the prize’s history.

Sara Collins was the recipient of the 2015 Michael Holroyd Prize for Creative Writing.
