Part of Crime season at The Postal Museum, join the team from Sherlock Bone and step into a live crime scene and learn a range of forensic science skills to solve a murder case. This hands-on workshop will put you in the shoes of a forensic investigator, collecting evidence to examine, record and decipher a crime scene.
Using real bones, help to identify the victims by estimating sex, age and cause of death. Dust the crime scene for clues; classify blood types; identify suspect fingerprints and examine them for unique characteristics.
Inspired by The Postal Museum’s new temporary exhibition The Great Train Robbery: Crime & the Post which opens on 12 October, this workshop covers similar techniques to those used in the work of Post Office Investigators.
Attendees have the option to add a ride on Mail Rail after the workshop.
