Step into a world of imagination and fantasy where toys, nutcrackers, tin soldiers, dolls, sweets, flowers and snowflakes are walking, talking, drinking and dancing; finding the magic and mysticism right within our own world.

Adam Perchard is a multidisciplinary writer and performer, moving fluidly between the worlds of theatre, comedy, cabaret, literary criticism, and opera. The stage was set for a vibrant – and sometimes transgressive – career during his childhood in India where, Situ Singh Buehler trained him in the art of bel canto. Adam soon became a child opera star, singing female soprano arias to packed concert halls across New Delhi. On returning to the UK, he trained with Mark Packwood at The Royal Opera before reading English at Oxford University. Here, he began writing and performing comedy with The Oxford Revue. Adam went on to write his MA and PhD in English and related literatures at the University of York before becoming a lecturer at York and at Queen Mary, University of London, and publishing widely in the fields of eighteenth-century studies and postcolonial literature.

Parallel to, and interwoven with this scholarly career, Adam’s subversive multimedia performance art duo Bother was a mainstay of queer London club culture from 2007-2016, performing and creating installations at iconic club venues across the city, and creating film pieces shown at the Institute of Contemporary Arts, the London Short Film Festival, the London Independent Film Festival, and Branchage International Film Festival. Since 2014, he has been leading writer and performer for the critically acclaimed queer comedy troupe Sex Shells. Building on their string of sold-out residencies at The Glory, the Shells have played some of the most exciting stages in the country, including the National Theatre, Latitude, Brighton Pride, the Mighty Hoopla, the Hackney Empire, and the inaugural Channel Islands Pride. They have two hit runs at the Edinburgh Fringe under their belt and, this year, enjoyed a sell-out

run at the Soho Theatre. In December 2018 he appeared in The Courtney Act Show on Channel 4, and he is currently playing Boris Johnson and The First-Time Voter in the smash-hit show Jonny Woo’s All-Star Brexit Cabaret, written by Jonny Woo and Richard Thomas (Jerry Springer the Opera) and performed (so far) at the English National Opera, the Soho Theatre, and the Edinburgh Fringe.

Georgia Crandon, 23, is an Essex girl with a big voice and big blonde hair to match. Accompanied by muso friends called the ‘The Vintage Youth’, her retro jazz/swing style of music is both vintage and fresh. Taking influence from the likes of Paloma Faith, Amy Winehouse, Billie Holiday and Louis Prima, Georgia’s contagious melodies and reflective lyrics will have you tapping your feet and wondering why you’ve never seen this girl before. 2019 has already seen Georgia & The Vintage Youth perform to thousands of fans across the UK in a massive 50 date theatre tour as support band to Collabro, culminating with a performance in front of a sell-out audience at The Royal Albert Hall. Major festival appearances include The Isle of Wight, Cambridge Club and Cornbury. Now under the wing of new management, TALENTBANQ, Georgia embarks on the next chapter of her journey with “the vintage youth” as new music in the form of an ep is expected late 2019/early 2020. Georgia is one of Vox Vanguard’s most special artists and starred as Daisy Buchanan in Rhapsody in Pink (2018)

Natasha Trigg began her ballet training at the Royal Academy of Dance in London. At the age of ten she received weekly private tuition with former principle dancer at The Royal Ballet, Karen Paisley. At thirteen she was accepted into the Royal Ballet Associates programme and invited for full-time education at White Lodge, The Royal Ballet’s lower school. Simultaneously she joined LSC and danced in Images, touring around the UK. Since graduating Natasha has performed with The Sarasota Ballet Company in Florida, Murley Dance Company, The New English Ballet Theatre, London Contemporary Ballet Theatre and The English National Ballet. Natasha is a passionate and talented immersive artist and has performed as a featured soloist with Vox Vanguard as Odette in Pride - Swan Lake (2019), The Bird in 1000 Tropical Nights (2018) and Lucy in Through the Wardrobe (2017).

Joel Hatfield started his training as a gymnast at the age of 5 in Birmingham, UK. He competed at a junior level until his free-spirited nature drew him in alternative directions. Joel started parkour/freerunning after finishing competitive gymnastics and later took up martial arts tricking, freestyle acrobatics and trampoline. Joel worked with the Birmingham Opera Society as a parkour performer at the age of 17, which ignited his passion to perform as an acrobat. Eight years later Joel has travelled all over the world performing his skills in a variety of different shows and events with highlights including shows with Jax Jones and Stefflon Don, and performances at Wembley Stadium and the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. Joel is thrilled to be performing with Vox Vanguard for the first time as the Tin Soldier in The Nutcracker: “Drosselmeyer’s Workshop”.
