Tugboat Captain and HDIF Presents

We're very pleased to announce that we'll be promoting a new series of regular gigs in London in partnership with our friends Tugboat Captain. The nights will be held on the last Thursday of most months at the Cavendish Arms in Stockwell.

Buffalo Postcard

The new band formed by Henrique Laurindo, formerly of cult shoegazers The Tamborines, Buffalo Postcard play sublime noise pop in the spirit of Ride, The Jesus And Mary Chain, and Teenage Fanclub. Their debut single, "Morning Chimes", which came out in February, is a fuzzed-up joy, and we can't wait to see them live.

Trelawney

What do South London's Trelawney sound like? "Imagine Scott Walker fronting The Associates and then covering David Bowie’s Cat People, but straight outta Kernow", they say on their Bandcamp page. Their recent single, "Love On A Branch Line", marries kraut pop and pop melodrama brilliantly, and heralds the arrival of a singular talent.

Lily Hayes

What does Lily Hayes sound like? For The Rabbits answer this one for us: "Accompanied by just a gentle flutter of electric guitar, Lily’s lithe, perfectly enunciated vocals are utterly compelling. Like Leonard Cohen or Laura Marling, Lily’s voice draws you in and demands you give her poetic words the attention they so rightfully command." Perfect.
