What can artists and writers down the centuries tell us about the challenges of mental distress? Harnessing the genius of poets such as John Clare, Samuel Taylor Coleridge and Emily Dickinson, Music on the Mind creates musical settings to explore a terror, confusion and exhilaration that too often goes unseen. Composer Harvey Brough and librettist Justin Butcher have created the piece specially for North London's innovative community choir, Vox Holloway, and the Maudsley Hospital’s Mind and Soul Choir. They are joined by soloists Clara Sanabras and Stephan Loges, and the David Le Page Ensemble.
