Macmillan Cancer Support’s spectacular Macmillan Ball is to be held at The V&A on Wednesday 27 November – with those attending set to raise thousands to ensure Macmillan can continue to support the growing number of people living with cancer.

An annual highlight of the London society calendar, last year the event raised an incredible £310,000, and this year they hope to make even more, with an ‘enchanted forest’ themed night.

The money raised on the night will go towards funding Macmillan services, including £112,000 ringfenced to fund two new Macmillan nurses - who provide essential support for people living with cancer - for a year.

Attendees of the Macmillan Ball will enjoy a champagne reception, followed by a glittering evening of fine dining and entertainment.

A live auction will also offer attendees the chance to bid for a host of incredible prizes – including a butchery masterclass with John Torode, followed by a steak dinner in the winner’s home. Silent auction prizes include a week-long trip to Barbados, Wimbledon tickets and private dining at the Delaunay.

Ian Crowther, events manager at Macmillan Cancer Support, added: “The Macmillan Ball is a fantastic night of entertainment, but its impact goes way beyond just one evening – it’s the chance to raise vital funds to help millions of people with cancer to live life as fully as they can. Donations made at the Macmillan Ball will make such a huge difference and we can’t wait to enjoy the evening and see how much raise this incredible event will raise.”
