On the former site of Bagley’s, London’s biggest rave venue for two decades, and now counting independent record store Honest Jon’s Record Shop and Spiritland, a café, bar, studio and home of the world class living voice sound system, amongst its residents Coal Drops Yard is a playground for fashion, music, culture and the arts.

After a number of events in Paris, Berlin, Brussels and Barcelona, Coal Drops Yard are hosting the Independent Label Market’s final event of the year – On November 30th attendees will roam the market stalls in search for their fresh vinyl products whilst enjoying a much needed drink from the London Brewer’s market. Expect great beer, live music & DJ sets from 11-6.30pm. Entry is free.

As the music industry embraces streaming and a more digital strategy, Independent Label Market is proving to be a valuable reminder of how music retail can be a social affair; people hanging out together as a community and buying records.

An all-star crew of labels will be joining on the day including !K7, 4AD, Bella Union, Brownswood, Erased Tapes, Heavenly, Hospital, Late Night Tales, Lex, Lucky Number, Moshi Moshi, Mute, Secretly Canadian, Strut and Transgressive. The labels have kindly donated rare vinyl donations to curate an auction for War Child, an international charity that protects and supports children affected by the war- a chance to give back to the community whilst getting in the Christmas spirit!
