With Rosie Clifford, mezzo soprano and Natalie Burch, piano.
‘Our will to create was equal to our will to live’; so wrote the composer Viktor Ullmann in Terezín concentration camp, where he was interred with many other composers and artists. In one of the darkest times for humanity, these musicians nevertheless created some of its most beautiful and affecting music, and they were not alone in doing so. Join mezzo-soprano Rosemary Clifford to explore this incredible and relatively unknown treasure trove, celebrating not only the music itself, but the power of the human spirit that created it.

Opera Prelude is a small charity passionate about supporting young professional opera singers who give recitals in London. These friendly and inclusive events will introduce you to the international opera singers of tomorrow by way of recitals, concerts and masterclasses.
