Two beautiful works by Rachmaninov: his Piano Concerto No.2 with soloist Yeseul Kim and Symphony No. 2. Rachmaninov conducted the 1908 premiere of his 2nd Symphony which, filled with wonderful musical themes, is particularly accessible to those who may be new to orchestral music. First performed in 1901, Rachmaninov's 2nd Piano Concerto is one of the most popular and recognisable piano concertos. We are delighted to welcome Korean pianist Yeseul Kim, winner of numerous international piano competitions including the Mauro Paolo Monopoli International Piano competition and the Maru International Concerto competition.
