I know I wish I will called on all young people to air their opinions by writing a poem in response to the theme I know I wish I will. Now the project is set to culminate with the world’s longest spoken-word 25-hour poetry marathon, which will see a selection of the country’s finest young poets take to the stage at London’s Criterion Theatre for World Poetry Day.
The event, which has been endorsed by UNESCO, will also be live-streamed around the world to celebrate World Poetry Day like never before with hundreds of young people taking to the stage to make their voices heard.
The marathon will be divided into a sequence of 75-minute bookable sessions. There will also be an extra special night-owl experience with an ‘all-nighter’ ticket running from 12:30am to 7:45am with free tea and coffee available throughout.
