Pancake Day Race

The Lamb Tavern at Leadenhall Market is once again hosting its famous Shrove Tuesday Pancake Race and Giveaway*. Head for this celebrated pub on Tuesday 25th February at 12:30pm and put your tossing skills to the test or simply rock-up for a free pancake – there’s 500 being given away over lunchtime!

The 100m relay course will see competitors race through the 14th century market, wielding a frying pan and flipping pancakes until the finish line. It’s free to enter and plucky participants could be in for a chance at winning coveted Frying Pan Trophy, as well as a bespoke hamper full of amazing treats from local market retailers.

From midday onwards, The Lamb Tavern will also be giving out 500 free pancakes covered in the nation’s favourite toppings. These tasty treats will be served on a first-come-first served basis so make sure you get in there quick.

There is still time to perfect your toss and enter, so grab your friends and colleagues and come on down to The Lamb Tavern in Leadenhall – it’s going to be flipping marvellous!
