London Home Show

London’s largest event for first time buyers returns to the capital for the fourteenth time on Saturday 21st March and is expected to draw thousands of guests across the day. Held at the Queen Elizabeth II Centre in Westminster from 10:30AM to 5PM, the show is a one stop shop for first time buyers seeking information about alternative home ownership schemes – offering potential buyers the unparalleled opportunity to meet some of the country’s biggest names in housing face to face.

Hosted by Share to Buy, the UK’s leading online portal for Shared Ownership properties, the bi-annual event is held each March and September and has welcomed over 55,000 visitors since its launch in 2013. The free exhibition will showcase the best of affordable homes available across London and the Home Counties from over 50 exhibitors – including thousands of Shared Ownership and Help to Buy properties.

For the first time ever, guests will have the chance to take part in two workshops led by popular property Influencer and YouTuber Jade Vanriel. During both workshops, Jade will discuss her money saving tips, DIY home improvement projects, and speak about her experience of becoming a home owner in her early 20s. Jade will be joined by a Shared Ownership buyer and an industry expert, on hand to answer audience questions while offering practical advice on how to save for a deposit and get on the property ladder.

In addition to the seminars, live Q&A sessions will take place throughout the day, where industry experts will answer questions from the audience – covering everything from perfecting your credit score to understanding eligibility criteria.

Also new for Spring 2020, four affordability workshops will also be held during the show, tackling questions around affordability, mortgages, and deposits. Led by the sector’s specialist financial advisors, workshops will cover the different affordability requirements for Shared Ownership, Help to Buy, and other alternative home ownership schemes while demonstrating the tools and apps available to help first time buyers understand their options. The Q&A sections will encourage attendees to put their financial questions to the experts.
