Find new plants and take home expert advice at our first show of the season, 7–8 April 2020.

Why not join us as we start our 2020 show season with the RHS London Spring Launch and Orchid Show celebrating colourful and scented early-flowering plants alongside fascinating and exotic orchids from around the world?

Displays and exhibits in the Lindley and Lawrence Halls are themed around resourcefulness, sustainability and our relationship with plants. We also focus on cultivating interest around different aspects of gardening in urban environments; from houseplants to balcony gardening and growing your own fruit and veg.

Look out for the immersive urban oasis created by CityScapes demonstrating the positive benefits of being surrounded by plants and nature.

Growers from the UK and Europe will exhibit their finest spring interest plants to inject colour to your winter-weary borders and pots and bring nature into your home with flowering and foliage houseplants. Diverse and rare orchid species are also displayed for you to admire and buy. Expert growers with many years’ experience of breeding and cultivating orchids will be on hand to offer all the advice you need to successfully grow healthy and long-lasting orchid blooms.

Just in time for a busy gardening weekend at Easter, you can be going home with armfuls of plants from the show. There is also the opportunity to buy gardening-related goods from gifts, through to books and seeds.

We are also lining up a programme of talks, demonstrations and creative workshops so experts can share their experiences and knowledge to help you brighten up your home and garden and kick off the 2020 gardening season.

Visitors can learn how to make dried flower bouquets and keep indoor plants blooming with the houseplant clinic, while talks will explore the ways we can harness the power of plants and brighten up homes and gardens for spring.

Try your hand at botanical life-drawings, terrarium gardening or the Japanese art of 'kokedama' in our masterclasses. There is even the opportunity to decorate cupcakes 'succulent-style'. Whichever masterclass you choose, it's sure to be fun and creative.

Late event 7 April (6pm–9pm)
Our Late event on Tuesday is perfect if you want to enjoy the show straight after work and see the plants and displays at their freshest. There will be drop-in talks sessions and free workshops with Hackney Herbal along with a plant-based pub quiz hosted by Mr Plant Geek, Michael Perry, and demonstrations by Soho Farmhouse’s Head Floral Designer, Raphael Verrion.
