Cheese lovers rejoice for this first-of-its-kind event, but also despair a little, because word on the dairy farm is that the pandemic is wreaking havoc on the British cheese industry. Step forward the British Cheese Weekender, aiming to shine the spotlight on all things artisanal and wiffy, encouraging us to purchase cheese from small producers.

From 8-10 May, there'll be discussions, cooking tutorials, talks and even tastings, all taking part online. But how will tastings work in this new digital-only world, I hear you say. That's the clever part - take a look at the schedule, decide which sessions you're interested in, and if there's a tasting involved purchase said cheese in advance so you can join in. You'll get as close to the experience as possible, while doing your bit for the industry.
